Web Conferencing Portal Removes Yugma from Ranking – in Light of Company Wind-down

Web Conferencing Portal Removes Yugma from Ranking – in Light of Company Wind-downward

Frankfurt am Main, Germany (PRWEB) June 18, 2009

Publicare, operator of the only vendor-independent comparison site for Web conferencing services, has received a copy of a letter sent by Yugma CEO and founder Lingaraj Mishra. The correspondence, dated June 2, 2009 informs the company’s shareholders of a planned closure. Mishra writes: “On May 26, 2009, the remaining members of the Board of Directors convened and determined that it is advisable to wind down the business affairs of the company.” After outlining the reasons for the decision, he concludes, “Consequently, at this time, and with a heavy heart, I regret to inform you that we will be winding down (…).”

Following this announcement, Publicare assumes that Yugma’s Web conferencing services will no longer be available, on an ongoing basis. For this reason, the portal operators have decided to remove Yugma from its ranking – with immediate effect. Previously, Yugma’s software had been in third place on webconferencing-test.com’s listing – being awarded nine out of a maximum 10 points.

New ranking list published

In addition, Publicare has revealed an updated version of its software trying results. Following the relinquish of Meet 5, Netviewer has moved up two positions – to second place. The latest version offers a transparent pricing model, making it easier to keep track of costs. What’s more, Meet 5 enables Mac and Linux users to participate in online meetings. Netviewer may be a slightly pricier alternative to other conferencing tools, but it offers a wide range of sophisticating functionality, making it an excellent choice. Dimdim, on the other hand, was unable to improve its rating following the release of version 5. webconferencing-test.com’s verdict remains unchanged: the software lacks the functionality you would expect of an interactive collaboration tool. With six points, omNovia also fail to make the grade – taking 19th place. The solution is adequate for ad-hoc see that require only one-way communications. But when it comes to business meetings and Web conferences involving several participants, omNovia cannot deliver the goods.

Q&A: Do you know of any funny video clips of office meetings?

Question by bromate: Do you know of any funny video clips of office meetings?
I’m looking for funny video clips of an office meeting (commercial, tv show, movie, or other). It would be best if they were brainstorming, but any sort of meeting would do, too. Does anybody know of any? Is it online?

Best answer:

Answer by Buck
Pretty much any episode of “The Office” on NBC. I can’t remember which episodes exactly, but there are a few where they’re brainstorming in the conference room. Watch all of them to find it. It’s worth it.

How do you make a video of your gymnastics meet on Windows Movie Maker?

Question by thelover <3: How do you make a video of your gymnastics meet on Windows Movie Maker?
I try to make a video where i have music for the whole thing but my floor routine. But at the moment it seems to be that there is either the audio from the meet, or the music all the way through it. Do you know how I can make a meet video with music for all of it except my floor routine where I want to have the audio from the meet?

Best answer:

Answer by Helping Hand
You need to Split the video in order to add your meet audio into a particular section of it:(In Time-line View)> First, import your video and drag it to the Video track > Now, import your music and drag it to the Music/Audio track> Advance the video (on time-line or in preview pane) to the point you want the music to STOP (and the meet audio to begin)> Click the Split button on the lower right of the Preview pane> Advance the video again, to the point you want the music to BEGIN again (and the meet audio to end)> Click the Split button once moreYou will notice that the video is now split into three sections. The middle section should be the portion of the video that you want to hear the meet. Next:> Click the + button beside the Video track to open its properties> RIGHT-CLICK on the first portion of the video in the video track and choose MUTE from the menu> RIGHT-CLICK on the third portion of the video in the video track and choose MUTE from the menu(Do not mute the middle section… this is the ‘meet portion’ you want to hear)Now for the Music/Audio track adjustments:> Advance the bar to the exact point you split the video track – and click Split (under Preview pane)> Advance the bar again, to the spot you made the second video split – and click Split once moreYou should have the Music/Audio track split exactly where you split the video. Look at all of the tracks to ensure the splits are in-line with each other. Then:> RIGHT-CLICK on the MIDDLE segment (where you want to hear the ‘meet’) and select MUTE from the drop-down menu. This will mute the music while the ‘meet portion’ plays. Voila! There you go! You can also adjust each of the portions for fades individually for a fine-tuned project. For more helpful hints, tips, tricks and how-to articles on Windows Movie Maker, visit:http://windowsmoviemaker-how-to.blogspot.com/:)
