Cost Plus World Market Stays Connected with MegaMeeting.com Web-based Video Conferencing

Cost Plus World Market Stays Connected with MegaMeeting.com Web-established Video Conferencing

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 26, 2011

With over 260 stores nationwide, Cost Plus World Market is a major retailer of original and handmade items from around the world. As with any large operation, constant contact and communication with vendors and employees is a key factor to their success, allowing Cost Plus World Market to provide their customers with high-quality items at a low price. Looking for a way to increase companywide productivity and decrease aggravation, Cost Plus World Market has recently turned to MegaMeeting.com and their web-based video conferencing solutions.

Used by the Board of Directors and Information Technology Departments, Cost Plus World Market is utilizing MegaMeeting.com to hold company meetings as well as to diagnose product issues and conduct quality assurance on products. With the ability to see live video feeds of meeting attendees, as well as show PowerPoint presentations and share computer screens, MegaMeeting.com has helped shorten the time Cost Plus World Market employees spend on support calls. According to Paul Rosas, Store Systems Manager, Cost Plus World Market, “We use MegaMeeting.com for meeting with vendors, connecting with staff members in other offices when we have large meetings and sharing screens with support centers when we are troubleshooting products.”

Major factors behind the decision of Cost Plus World Market to implement the MegaMeeting.com service was the reasonable pricing and the fact that there was no software to download or installation required to attend a meeting, allowing attendees to get into meetings easily. As the word spreads and more people know about or begin to use the MegaMeeting.com service, Cost Plus World Market anticipates the use of the web-based video conferencing service to grow.

Paul Rosas went on to say, “MegaMeeting.com has been a very useful product which has helped us in connecting with vendor partners and employees who are geographically distant. When business partners have been invited to meetings using MegaMeeting.com a question that is inevitably asked is, ‘What is this product and how can I get it?’ “.

How to remove music from old webinar?

Question by brain.at.work: How to remove music from old webinar?
I desire to participate in a webinar and when I raised the volume to hear the presentation I could hear it but music was also playing which I believe was from having listened to a previous webinar. How do I disconnect that residual music?

brain.at.work,I’m not sure I can answer this question, since I’m not familiar with webinar, but I’m answered because I was notified of your question by email. You might try deleting the browser cache (right-click on IE browser and select Properties, then find where to delete temporary file). You might try to find where this application keeps its operating files (e.g., C:\Program Files\webinar\, maybe) and remove audio files and logs. You might should check the documentation at the web(sem)inar home page for support information.I hope this helps, but I don’t know enough to be confident that it will.Good luck!Lyreceus

Competition between Web-conferencing Vendors Heats Up

Competition between Web-conferencing Vendors Heats Up

(PRWEB) February 9, 2007

http://www.webconferencing-prove.com — the vendor-independent portal for information on Web-based meeting tools — has now presented its latest findings. In the most recent comparison, WebEx MeetMeNow and Netviewer one2meet tied for second place. The new ranking suggests that differences between the top solutions are becoming less marked, and that competition is heating up.

In the most recent tests, WebEx Meeting Center was replaced by WebEx MeetMeNow, which carries a lower price tag, and better matches the needs of the aimed group addressed by the Website: small businesses and the self-employed. The second newcomer is Netviewer one2meet — the first German-developing Web-conferencing solution to be reviewed. The driven was included because it is gaining international recognition. Other solutions considered included Microsoft Office Live Meeting, Adobe Connect Professional (formerly Macromedia Breeze) and GoToMeeting from Citrix.

Additional test criteria have also been introduced. These include the integration of teleconferencing services, the maximum number of participants per meeting, mute and uninvite options, and whether solution security is certified. Functions are now also weighted according to relevance — i.e. how oft they are actually used. Therefore, test results show more clearly which solutions offer the best combination of functions and user-friendliness.

And it’s not just the content of the portal that has been updated — the portal itself has also been extended. New sections provide insight into online meeting solutions not chosen for testing, with explanations of why they were not shortlisted. These include WebEx Meeting Center, which was squeezed out by Webex MeetMeNow, as well as Adobe Connect, and Interwise. There is also a page outlining the test procedure and the criteria put-upon to select tools — external market recognition, world-wide commercial availability, an English-language user interface, plus the option of requesting a free trial version online. The portal’s vendor independence and the objectivity of the proven methodology are also documented in detail.

The http://www.webconferencing-test.com portal provides visibility into the complex Web-conferencing solutions market. It employs clearly defined criteria for comparison, and gives visitors useful information that allows them to rapidly place the tools that best meet their particular needs. The Website also features links to all vendors’ Websites — so users can sign up for free trial versions, and test-drive the solutions for themselves.
