what are the laws regarding making telephone, audio and video recordings of people?

Question by T W: what are the laws regarding making telephone, audio and video recordings of people?
I was contemplating using an audio-video recorder when I pick up my kids from their mom’s house, just in case she makes up some story that I did something wrong while I was there, I also was thinking about using a seperate audio recorder as a back-up, and recording our telephone conversations. She has made up stories of abuse and several times before. I’m not trying to trick her into saying anything and I hope she does not speak to me at all, but I am afread that she can, at her leisure, make false charges against me whenever it suits her. I feel that I need some proof. All she has to say is that I threatened her. However, I heard that it is illegal to make recordings of people without their permission and that these recordings are not admissable in court, flush to defend onesself from false accusations (except in criminal casea, I suppose). I am desperate. I am not sure if she will even allow me see the kids if I inquire to pick up the kids at a visitation center, or to meet her in the parking lot of the police station or something where there are cameras, and even if I did, all she has to do is come up to my window and stated I threatened her. She can get populate to lie for her too, She has done it before, and threatened to do so, in the presence of the populated she state would lie for her. I’m very touched and frustrated and wear’t know what I can do. I desire to see my kids, and am not sure if she will let me. I’m not even allow to call her and enquire to see them directly, and have to call my lawyer to have her talk to her lawyer, and her lawyer will probably tell me that I tin’t see my kids except in a visitation center below supervision, even thought I have been spending time with them all along, becasue it was court ordered up to this point. So, unless I can get a romancing order saying so, that is what she will make me do, and the court stated they won’t do anything until March. She is assay to keep me under scrutiny as a child and spousal abuser until we go to court for custody, and has been harsassing me and following me, and breaking into my car and seek to break into my house, and having my house watching, and parking her car in front of my holding, and threatening and extorting me, and has threatened to have gangsters and biker gang members she knows “have atalk wth me” and I have no real proof so far. The kidded have said that I abused them to variouse authorities, and later denied that I ever did abuse them to the same people. What can I do? Without create, every lie, especially every lie seconded by somebody else, make me look even worse.in Maryland, that isGuessing this is my answer:Under Maryland’s Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Act, it is unlawful to tape record a conversation without the permission of all the parties. See Bodoy v. North Arundel Hosp., 945 F.Supp. 890 (D. Md. 1996). Additionally, recording with reprehensible or tortuous purpose is illegal, regardless of consent. Md. Code Ann., Cts. & Jud. Proc. § 10-402.I guess its illegal to try to use video or audio recordings to defend yourself against perennial mistaken criminal charges in Maryland. I think having a penis is illegal too.

Is it possible to record a webinar without expensive software?

Question by Daisy is a crunchy con: Is it possible to record a webinar without expensive software?
By expensive I mean $ 30. Come on, it’s going to be on my computer. Someone delight help me!!!This is a webinar that I paid to see. I am not making it myself.

Best answer:

Answer by Chris C
The answer depends upon what your computer has on it.Does it have a camera on it?If it does, can the camera record video? If it can record video, what is the refresh rate (or the rate at which it can record the images for the video)? If you do not have the hardware, then you might have to opt for a device that just recently cost me $ 45 at my local Circuit City. I can connect a camcorder (i.e. I already own a Hi-8 camcorder) to this device and record video directly from the camera, or from the tape being played back from the camera. In my inspecting, I’m using it convert old Hi-8 tapes onto DVDs to be playable for us and our family in places that we only have a DVD player available. It connects by either 3 RCA jacks, or a S-video jack to the video source, and an USB connector for the video output (that converts the video into a MPEG format file on your hard disk).I can’t remember the name of it, but I’ll see if I can find out later on.

Have a party in a meeting room?

Question by Prince Jackson: Have a party in a meeting room?
I am thinking about having a party @ our community center. It has a meeting or confrence room that holds up to 100 people. Could i have a party in a confrence room which supplies audio & video things. Also, it says “the Community Center is unable to accommodate wedding receptions.” Does that mean it cant have parties either? Please help

Best answer:

Answer by nicole
The community centre will allow you to fine any room you want, as long as you pay for it. There will be community center staff present in the building during your party whether you like it or not. If your party gets too loud or more than 100 people show up, they will interfere with your party and they will ask you to end the party and you will not get your money back. You cannot have more than 100 people because there are fire building codes. And you cannot have it too loud because you may be disturbing other “parties” going on in the same building in which people also paid for the rooms. The only thing I would suggest is if you’re interested in getting a conference room with audio & video, make sure you tell them AT THE TIME YOU PAY that you need accessto the audio and video equipment. A lot of clock you have to pay more money to do this. They usually lock it up or have it password-protected. If you pay the extra fee to use the equipment, they will have a tech person unlock it for you at the beginning of your party.Good luck!
